I was inspired by the chat I had with fellow n@wies in Facebook's group chat. Mommies started talking about 80's songs. I can totally relate since I was born 1980. Think "How Gee", "Ice Ice Baby", "Ragga Muffin Girl" and the list goes on. It's fun reminiscing songs we used to sing and hum, and those dance tunes that kept us on the move. While on our way to the office this morning, we passed by a public elementary school in Dasmarinas, Cavite. Students who were waiting for their classes to begin, ... [ Read More ]
Science Experiment: Color Changing Milk
One rainy morning, Kelsea and I were left at home while Mark went to the office. The weather really made us lazy and we just cuddled, tickled, laughed, sang and enjoy bonding with each other. Time came when she asked the toddler-wants-to-do-new-things question, "Mommy, anong gawin natin?" Hahaha! We were already doing a lot of stuff but she wants something new. I remembered I bought a book made by Smart Parenting which is about fun and creative activities for kids.I chose to try an indoor ... [ Read More ]
Decorating Kelsea’s Room Using Decals
It was one of Kelsea's tantrums day when she didn't want to take a bath and go with us to the office. She just wanna lie down on the bed. Hubby told me to dress her up without taking a bath but I told him I don't want to practice that. I want Kelsea to make it a habit to take a bath before leaving the house (except when she's sick where spongebath is okay). After countless encouragement, "lambing" and telling her the frogs might smell her smelly armpits, the little girl stayed still on the bed. ... [ Read More ]
My Hair Rebonding Experiences by Edwin Samot, Home Service and My Tralala Haven
Who is Edwin Samot? Edwin Samot is well-known in the province of Cavite for his hair rebonding centers. I first encountered his salon in Dasmarinas, Cavite where I first had my hair relax. His numerous salons are very attractive to clients because of the affordable services. As far as I can remember a few years ago, a hair relax, haircut and hot oil package costs less than Php1,000. And I can't forget them using vinegar and water to rinse my hair. The smell was so strong but it helps smoothen ... [ Read More ]
Pancakes!
If you woke up late and need to fix breakfast in a jiffy, what would you prepare? PANCAKES!!!! Well, I once woke up late because of my VA (short for Virtual Assistant) gig. I only had 3 hrs of sleep and I still need to cook breakfast for Mark and Kelsea. Worry no more, I'm glad I bought a box of pancake mix :) I used Pillsbury pancake mix and checked the pantry for some add-ons. Now, here is Kelsea's pancake made by mommy with a smile on my face: Fruit Loops eyes and nose + Hershey's choco ... [ Read More ]
While I Do The Grocery
We do our grocery on a weeknight when there are no long lines on the lanes of Shopwise in Festival Mall, Alabang. Getting out from the office between 7pm to 8pm is a regular time for us that's why it's very ideal for us to get our pantry and cooking stuff in this grocery because Shopwise closes at 11pm. Not to mention the good service and the wide range of items that you can choose from. Can you guess where Mark and Kelsea go while I do the grocery? In here.... Shopwise play area So as not to ... Move Over Mang Inasal…Here Comes Chic-Boy!
Chic-boy was recommended to us by my brother-in-law. Since hubby and I love to eat inihaw (grilled food), this new resto in town just have to be given a try. The name itself is very catchy. It is the combination of the words chicken and baboy (pork). So from the name itself, you'll already know what their specialties are. What makes Chic-boy different from Mang Inasal? They both have inasal (chicken barbecue) in their menu. But Chic-boy is offering something new - something from ... [ Read More ]
