Last week was a busy week for me and there were lot of adjustments with regards to my online work. I was transferred to a new team handling critical and ongoing tasks which requires a shifting schedule. My body clock needed to change and also my household routine. And because of that, I was planning what our family's weekend bonding would be to get off the load from my head and body. I always look forward to family activities :) Our relaxing weekend started last Friday when PLDT Home DSL ... [ Read More ]

A Wanna-be Homebaker and Majesto Cake Studio’s Baking Workshop
Do you love to bake? I do! One of my dreams is to have a pastry shop serving cakes, pastries and coffee. I only had an oven toaster when we moved to our house 4 yrs ago and it was only last year that we were able to buy a gas range with an oven. I was so excited to start not just being a homemaker but also a homebaker :) To have more confidence, I attended the Basic Baking and Cake Decorating Workshop of Majesto Cake Studio last January. Diane Joy Labayen of Majesto is not new to me. My ... [ Read More ]
Glamma Momma’s Oven: S’mores Brownies
What do you call a dessert that combines s'mores and brownies? S'mores Brownies! My jar of all-purpose flour (APF) is already empty but i still got a lot of cake flour. So I searched the internet for recipes that use cake flour and came across Leite's Culinaria's S'mores Brownies. I still got stocks of all the ingredients so I decided to bake one yesterday and prepare it for my in-laws. I tweaked the recipe a little to adjust to my on-hand supplies. Here's the recipe with a few comments on ... [ Read More ]

Last Sunday, aside from our regular schedule of Kelsea's art class and Sunday mass (it was a Palm Sunday), we met up with some of my South n@wie friends who are craving for cupcakes at the Vanilla Cupcake Bakery in Alabang Town Center after I posted in Instagram. We love the ambiance most epecially their lovely chairs and dainty interiors. Here's the cupcake I ... [ Read More ]
Artisan Pizza at Project Pie
Mark and I are certified pizza lovers. So when a new pizza place opened in Westgate, Filinvest, Alabang, we wanted to try it at once. Project Pie is the first franchise outside their original restaurant in the United States. The franchise holder of Project Pie in the Philippines is the Prieto Family who also owns the Philippine franchise of Shakey's restaurants (source). It is one-of-a-kind because you can customize your own pizza. Their slogan is "Everyday artisan pizza custom built by ... [ Read More ]
VA Support Pro’s WordPress Workshop
Wordpress is one of the platforms used to build your own website such as this blog of mine. I recently switched from Blogger to Wordpress because of these features (but spent some reasonable amount for my domain and hosting). Since I'm still tinkering with its other features, I think it would be great to know more about it from the experts :) VA Support Pro, who did my blog migration and hosting, is going to have another Wordpress workshop on May 10, 2014 and it will be in the South. I've ... [ Read More ]
