Glamma Momma’s Oven: S’mores Brownies

What do you call a dessert that combines s'mores and brownies? S'mores Brownies! My jar of all-purpose flour (APF) is already empty but i still got a lot of cake flour. So I searched the internet for recipes that use cake flour and came across Leite's Culinaria's S'mores Brownies. I still got stocks of all the ingredients so I decided to bake one yesterday and prepare it for my in-laws. I tweaked the recipe a little to adjust to my on-hand supplies. Here's the recipe with a few comments on ... [ Read More ]

Storytelling Weekends at Fully Booked

Are you looking for activities for your kiddos on weekends? Fully Booked has a soft launching of their storytelling program in their Alabang and The Fort branches which started last weekend. We were invited by one my mommy blogger friends Aimee since this is her project. We frequent in Alabang Town Center (ATC) on weekends so we're eager to check it out. Storytelling sessions are every Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm and 4pm . Kelsea, who loves books, was very excited. So after a meet-up with ... [ Read More ]

Cupcakes, Storytelling and Food Trucks

Do you agree that weekends are exclusively for the family? Where and how do you usually spend your Sundays with your family? Last Sunday, aside from our regular schedule of Kelsea's art class and Sunday mass (it was a Palm Sunday), we met up with some of my South n@wie friends who are craving for cupcakes at the Vanilla Cupcake Bakery in Alabang Town Center after I posted in Instagram. We love the ambiance most epecially their lovely chairs and dainty interiors. Here's the cupcake I ... [ Read More ]

Artisan Pizza at Project Pie

Mark and I are certified pizza lovers. So when a new pizza place opened in Westgate, Filinvest, Alabang, we wanted to try it at once. Project Pie is the first franchise outside their original restaurant in the United States. The franchise holder of Project Pie in the Philippines is the Prieto Family who also owns the Philippine franchise of Shakey's restaurants (source). It is one-of-a-kind because you can customize your own pizza. Their slogan is "Everyday artisan pizza custom built by ... [ Read More ]

VA Support Pro’s WordPress Workshop

VA Support Pro’s WordPress Workshop

Wordpress is one of the platforms used to build your own website such as this blog of mine. I recently switched from Blogger to Wordpress because of these features (but spent some reasonable amount for my domain and hosting). Since I'm still tinkering with its other features, I think it would be great to know more about it from the experts :) VA Support Pro, who did my blog migration and hosting, is going to have another Wordpress workshop on May 10, 2014 and it will be in the South. I've ... [ Read More ]

What A Little Girl Wants

What A Little Girl Wants

I was once a little girl who loved to play and enjoyed most outside playing Patintero, Taguan (hide and seek), Piko (hopscotch), 10-20 using chinese garter just to name a few. It makes me smile thinking of those childhood memories. But those were the outdoor play I had. Indoors, I played with Barbie dolls, jackstones, pick-up sticks, etc. And like most girls, I loved playing luto-lutuan :) Our "food" were ipil-ipil leaves and aratelis cooked in improvised cookware and prepared in plastic plates ... WeddingsAtWork’s Lovinlimangtaon

I was once a bride 7 years ago and my go-to site was WeddingsAtWork where I found almost everything I need to prepare for my groom and I's dream wedding such as wedding requirements, wedding suppliers and stories of real weddings to name a few. What made it more enjoyable was being a w@wie wherein I get to interact online with fellow brides. After graduating from w@w, I immediately became a member of NewlywedsAtWork and became a n@wie. This is a support group on marriage, parenting, ... [ Read More ]
