It was our last day in Cebu and wanted to make the most out of our stay in Waterfront Hotel. Our flight is in the afternoon so we still have the morning to squeeze in some things we still want to do. Since Kelsea requested to swim in the hotel's pool, we woke up early to have breakfast and meet with my parents. After our quick brekky, we immediately headed to the pool. Waterfront Hotel has 2 pools: 1 adult pool and 1 kiddie pool with slide. Kelsea didn't want to ... [ Read More ]
[Cebu] Summer Getaway 2014 Day 2
Beach time! Can't hide the excitement when I planned our Cebu trip itinerary. I was looking forward seeing the beautiful beaches in Mactan Island so I did my research on a number of Mactan beach resorts that offer day trip packages. You can check them out here. I chose BE RESORTS MACTAN among the rest. Their rates are affordable and within our budget and newly-built with modern decors. I actually saw a picture of the resort from my cousin's Instagram and became curious. My sister-in-law and ... [ Read More ]
[Cebu] Summer Getaway 2014 Day 1
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Our Cebu trip was totally unexpected. I joined a contest hoping to win one of the consolation prizes and I did and that entry was also chosen as the grand prize winner of a trip for 2 to Cebu inclusive of airfare and accommodations. Yipee! That gave my family a chance to have an out-of-town vacation and see one of the beautiful places in the Philippines. We had an early morning flight of 6:20am via Cebu Pacific so we went early to NAIA Terminal 3 (T3) and ... [ Read More ]
Day Tour Packages in Mactan, Cebu
How's your summer so far? We still have a month to go before school starts (for our kids) and there's still time to unwind and relax in the beach :) Last weekend, my family went to Cebu for a summer getaway. One of the itineraries I prepared is a day trip to a beach in Mactan Island, Cebu. So I searched the net and emailed resorts which I was interested in. Here are the info I got from them (all pictures are from their official websites): BE RESORTS ... [ Read More ]
Moms Day in Bag of Beans Tagaytay
Sorry for the silence this summer. My hands are so full right now because of weekend summer outings. I must catch up on my 40hr workweek from Monday to Friday so that I don't have to work (or work less) on weekends to enjoy our summer activities. I have yet to post a lot of our family adventures this summer. We've already had 4 outings and 1 more to go for this summer of 2013. It's actually starting to rain but we've got to make the most of Kelsea's vacation before school starts again in ... [ Read More ]
A Trip to Clark [Day 2: Hot Air Balloon Festival 2013] Plus an IMPORTANT LESSON
Going to the 18th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is one of those things in my bucket list. So I was thrilled when our plan pushed thru. What's even more favorable for my family was that our tickets were FREE! Thanks to our sponsor :) Our tickets were bought from SM Ticketnet to avoid the crowd and lines in the event site. The night before our chosen date to watch the festival, we had dinner in Max's Restaurant in SM City Clark. It was near Tune Hotels where we ... [ Read More ]
A Trip to Clark [Day 1: Tune Hotels Angeles City]
We finalized our plans of staying overnight in Clark for the 2013 Hot Air Balloon Festival last February only a few days before the event. As expected, almost all hotels near the site were fully booked. I was looking for an affordable and decent place to stay that is kid and senior citizen friendly. As I was surfing the net, I saw in one of the group buying sites an offer from Tune Hotels. I got curious and visited its website to know more about it. I also checked TripAdvisor for the positive ... [ Read More ]
A Trip to Clark [Day 1: Nayong Pilipino]
Last February 23-24, we went to Clark to see the 2013 Hot Air Balloon Festival. We decided to book a hotel so that we can be at the grounds as early as 5am to get a good spot and strategic parking. It was only a few days before that weekend that we looked for a hotel. Almost all nearby hotels were fully booked. We had a hard time looking for one because we were a group of 12 (2 pre-schoolers, 2 teens, 2 seniors and 6 adults). Luckily, we were able to get a booking in Tune Hotel (will blog about ...
