Who wouldn’t know that catchy tune? If you’re a mom or dad, or even a lolo, lola, aunt or uncle of the little kids you love at home, I’m pretty sure you are very familiar with the lyrics of the popular children’s show Hi-5. And we all can’t help but sing and dance along, right? 🙂
The children’s musical group Hi-5 was launched in Australia in 1999 with five dynamic performers, entertaining children with music, movement, problem-solving, and play. Well-known around the world, they have reached an estimated global audience of more than 10 million children across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, and Latin America with their tours, music, and TV shows.
Our daughter Kelsea has been an avid fan of the Australian children’s musical group since she was 4 years old. At first, we were just watching their old episodes in YouTube or buying their DVDs featuring the original cast. Her favorite then was Kathleen. Then, we started watching their shows on TV in Disney Junior channel. It has been one of Kelsea’s favorite shows to watch. I feel happy everytime I see her sing and dance while watching 🙂
Two years ago, we gave her the chance to watch Hi-5…LIVE! She was so excited to see the cast and enjoyed the entire show with her cousin Amelie. Here are the pictures taken during Hi-5’s tour in Manila last 2013:
Of course, we couldn’t leave without buying them souvenir Hi-5 hand pillows which are great buys since they’re still in good condition up to now.
I can still remember the joy in their faces while watching the show. They jumped, danced, sang along to the music. The current show already has a new cast but the kids still love the show.
