Raising A Reader

Raising A Reader

I love reading. I have book and magazine collections since I was a kid until now. That's from Sweet Valley Kids to parenting books now. And as a book lover, I also want my daughter to be one. She has lots of books which I bought from Booksale and more books she inherited from her cousins Tintin and Jelo. One of my dreams is to have a library in our house which includes my books and magazines collection and Kelsea's too.As much as possible we read to her every time she wakes up and before she ... Magnum Ice Cream: Craze or Crazy?

Magnum Ice Cream: Craze or Crazy?

There's a new ice cream brand in town...it's Magnum Ice Cream! Some friends from Facebook said that it is a must-try. So I did. Three days before my dad was confined, he and I had a quick lunch in 7-11 after his Annual Physical Exam (APE). Magnum Ice Cream was being sold there for Php60.00! I thought it was only Php50.00? Well, anyway, I want to taste this latest fad and let my taste buds judge if it justifies the price.I chose the Chocolate Truffle flavor of Magnum Ice Cream. Other flavors ... [ Read More ]

Lessons Learned During My Dad’s Confinement

This post is all about my dad's confinement and memberships we all should have in case we are hospitalized. It all started with a cough last February. He took over-the-counter cough medicines but they didn't work. When we had a family outing in Pansol, Laguna, he swam and might have caused more cough because of swimming in a hot spring then going out of the pool with a cool breeze of air. Then, he was busy at work and traveled to Jakarta and Bicol while still coughing. Friday last week when he ... [ Read More ]

How I Got My NBI Clearance From Las Pinas Satellite Office

One of the requirements for the application of PRC ID for Accreditation as Real Estate Salesperson is NBI Clearance. From the stories I've heard from friends on how hard it is to get an NBI Clearance nowadays made me a little hesitant. But I need to have my PRC ID for my credentials. That left me no choice but to schedule one whole day just to get an NBI Clearance. The first question I asked myself was where to get one. I searched online to see if there's a more convenient way to get a clearance. ... [ Read More ]

Another Pancake Project

It was again one of the days when I need to prepare breakfast fast because we need to see a Pulmonologist for Mark's cough in the morning. At times like this, I'd like to experiment again with pancakes. You can see the first one here. Now, I was inspired by Faye's Mickey Mouse pancakes for Maia. This is my favorite pancake. The serving is just right for 2 adults and a toddler (soon-to-be preschooler). You just need a medium egg, water and oil. Pillsbury Pancake Here's the first pancake. Looks ... [ Read More ]

My Blog Makeover by Fancy Girl Designs

Patricia Alix-Villa of Fancy Girl Designs did it again! I'm her suki! I love her work so I entrust to her the overall look of my sites. She did the themes of my two online shops, Shopping Spells and Glamma Momma. http://shoppingspells.multiply.com http://glammamomma.multiply.com Tired of using other free Blogger templates, I decided to get her expertise again and make a personalized theme for this mommy blog of mine. The colors you see are my favorite ones. The header design is what ... [ Read More ]
