Sweet Treats by Mommy Sha for the Sweet Tooth

April 3, 2013 By: Erlaine3 Comments

Don’t you just love sweets? I do. But I’m a frustrated baker. Why? Because I only have an oven toaster LOL! I dream of having a fully functional oven that I can use for baking and roasting chicken that will bring much aroma in our home. I want to make cupcakes, cakes and cookies for our tummies!

Now, where can you find the yummiest cupcakes in town? Only from homebakers like Mommy Sha. Sweet Treats by Mommy Sha is a hobby-turned-business of a fellow mom blogger Sha of Kikay Mommy Sha.

I met Sha during our first mommy bloggers meet-up. Good thing I came because I get to taste her yummy cupcakes.

It’s time to meet Mommy Sha…..

Am I sure I posted the right picture? Maybe your saying, “Hey, that looks like a model!”. Yes, that’s Sha. A working girl, homebaker and a mommy can look like that 🙂 Now where do all the sweets she take go to? Let her be an inspiration to moms like me who’s trying (for years) to lose weight.

After long hours of work in her office, she still finds time to make creative and flavorful cupcakes for her clients. Check out her creations below….

Everything looks mouth-watering, right?

Now, here’s what she got to say about her business…
What is your business about?
“We make mini-cupcakes for any kind of occasion – birthday, christening, wedding, debut, or if you just want to satisfy your sweet tooth. We personalize and customize designs, too.”
Aside from your cute little boy, what inspired you to start your business?
“It’s my passion and love in baking. They say when you really love what you’re doing you excel each and every single day. And that is exactly what I’m doing, rest assure that our cupcakes are made with nothing but PURE LOVE. One of my inspirations are my fellow mompreneurs who already wear so many hats but still on top of that, still we’re able to manage their businesses. And of course, my family. Having a very supportive husband is one of the most important thing in putting up a business. And of course having a satisfied and happy customer is my number one inspiration. It inspires me so much that it helps me to improve more each day. It’s not about the money. For me it’s all about making other people happy. And that’s what matter most to me.”
How do you see your business 5 years from now?
“Hopefully it’ll be more stable and fruitful in God’s grace!”
Encouraging words of wisdom for the readers who would like to start or improve their business.
“In business, it’s very tempting to race ahead with your plans too soon. You want your business to boom in an instant, of course. But it’s better to take your time to perfect your product before you expand. Part of being successful is knowing your ideas are FULLY BAKED and ready to improve upon. It takes time to get the word out, time for people to learn about you and appreciate what you have to offer, so be patient. Remember, PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE in both baking and business.”
She makes red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, or carrot flavored cupcakes. Want to taste cupcakes from Sweet Treats, join my 3rd blogversary giveaway here.
