WORKSHOP ALERT: It’s a WAHMderful Life: Real Ways To Be a WAHM!

January 5, 2013 By: Erlaine6 Comments

I have been a work-at-home mom (WAHM) for over a year now and just like any career, we aim for an improvement that will bring us to the next level. I am a Virtual Assistant (VA) for a number of clients in oDesk. Being a VA is like being a remote administrative staff doing reports, maintaining databases, preparing presentations, etc. But aside from this, I am also into blog or article writing, Social Media Marketing (SMM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and a lot more. The job opportunities of working from home is endless.

A lot of my working friends were asking me if they can be a WAHM too as well. And I always respond with a YES. It is a big leap because it will take a lot of risks especially if you’re already up in the corporate ladder. But if you really to intend to stay at home and earn at the same time, it is a matter of choice.

The top reason why a WAHM like me chose to be one is to be with the kid/s the whole day and be hands-on. There are other reasons like wanting to do business while at home, tired of the corporate world, stress from the boss and colleagues or just wanting to earn more and more but having the luxury of working at your own time.

If you like to the reasons I mentioned above, take the first step.

There are a lot of things to look forward to this 2013 and one of them is the It’s a WAHMderful Life Workshop: Real Ways to be a WAHM! on January 26, 2013. Moms (and moms-to-be), this is your chance to know how to be a WAHM and answer all the questions playing in your mind.

Β

This workshop is a team-up of Dainty Mom (Martine is mommy blogger and a WAHM I admire) and Manila Workshops (Ginger is a soon-to-be mom who was in the corporate world but chose to be a WAHM for the baby in her tummy). According to Ginger, the venue is not hard to find. There’s an Office Warehouse and a Brother’s Burger store at the ground floor of the building.

The morning session will be about WAHM realities and how to cope with them. For the afternoon session, you can choose to attend the session about Virtual Assistance Business or Freelance Writing.

Here are the rates:
Regular rate: Php1,500.00 (Starting December 21, 2012)
Early bird: Php1,300.00 (Paid by December 20, 2012)
Group Rate of Php1,100 for group of 3 or more (until January 19, 2013)

Even though I’m already a WAHM, I signed up in order to learn more about it and improve myself as a VA and hopefully hire my own VAs in the future. It is also an opportunity to network with other moms πŸ™‚ This is really exciting because I will be going with my aunt, one of my best friends and my online friends.

Interested? Sign up now here. Hope to see you there!

It’s their 2nd WAHM workshop. I guess it will depend on this 2nd workshop if there will be a third (but I’m sure there will!).

Yeah see you on the 10th, Marsy! πŸ™‚
