What’s in Manila Zoo’s Kinder Zoo?

November 11, 2012 By: Erlaine7 Comments

This post is a continuation of our family day in Manila Zoo.

Kinder Zoo is located at the left side after the main entrance of Manila Zoo. It has a separate entrance fee of Php250 for a package of activities you can do inside. If you won’t get the package, each activity costs Php50. Since we have a group voucher good for 15pax from TCAT, we only paid Php104 individually when computed. It was a really a big savings because of the unlimited activities.
Here are what kids (and adults as well) can enjoy inside Kinder Zoo:
1. Wall Climbing

ย You will immediately see this at the left side of the Kinder Zoo entrance. Too bad we weren’t able to try this.

2. Fish Spa – I wasn’t able to take a picture of this but it is not that inviting to try compared to the one in Manila Ocean Park.

3. Swimming Pool

This is a very small kiddie pool. The kids I saw swimming were not wearing swim suits but only their undies. I knew beforehand that there’s a pool but I didn’t bring Kelsea’s swimwear because I thought it’s not clean. But it wasn’t bad at all when I saw how clean and clear the water was.

4. Hanging Bridge

This hanging bridge is not that scary to walk on because of the support underneath. But some wooden planks were already old which would want you to skip stepping on it.

5. Horseback Riding

The first time Kelsea rode on a horse in Baguio, it made her cry out loud. She was so scared and kept telling how stinky the horse is. But she surprised us (after seeing her best friend ride the horse) in the zoo when she volunteered riding on the horse. Maybe because that horse is not stinky or maybe she’s now braver ๐Ÿ™‚ Kelsea and I were allowed to ride on the horse, with Mark standing beside, for a photo op. But only kids are allowed to ride on a semi-running/walking horse.

ย
The kids enjoyed riding on the horse. Kelsea even rode on it twice! ๐Ÿ™‚
6. Petting and Picture Taking with Animals
ย Look how scared Kelsea was! I touched the crocodile and it’s skin is really hard.

With the birds….

ย This pot-bellied pig is so lazy and sleepy ๐Ÿ™‚
Kids can also ride this gigantic tortoise. Kelsea was afraid of this so only Erin and Kyle seated on it.

Can you see the monkey in diapers in the middle? Super likot and kulit nyan! LOL! I think we had 3 takes for this group pic

.
Watch this video to see the stubborn monkey…

7. Butterfly Garden – This is a small area in Kinder Zoo. We did not go inside anymore.

8. Party Area – A kid was celebrating his/her birthday that day in this small party area. I don’t know how much it costs to rent the space for occasions.

9. Zipline

Kelsea loved the zipline. She volunteered first to try it. She’s really adventurous like mommy and daddy. I’m so proud of her! She tried this activity twice also.

I suggest going to the zoo as early as 9 a.m. so the sun is not that hot yet. It will take you around 2-3 hours to go around the whole zoo (including kinder zoo) on a relaxed pace.

Mommies and daddies, try to bring your kids to Manila Zoo and Kinder Zoo, too! They will really enjoy seeing the animals and trying out the different activities. Just don’t forget to bring the things I listed in my previous post ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy!

pakita ko nga to ke Maia! ayaw nya sumakay sa zipline! hmpf. honestly though, medyo na disappoint ako sa Kinder zoo. It’s not worth the price you pay. Mag Manila Zoo na lang if ever and enjoy the animals from a distance (in my opinion) ๐Ÿ˜€

Yes, actually hindi sulit yung price sa type of activities inside. Like sa zipline, hindi kaya ang adults dun haha. Tapos sa yung fish spa parang yuck ibabad ang feet. If people pay the regular price of 250 per person, sobrang mahal. Pero buti nag-enjoy si Kelsea kasi kasama mga close friends nya. Hintay ko post mo about sa trip nyo sa zoo.

Hi Maggie! Actually we had fun because Kelsea loves animals (but sometimes afraid to touch them) and she was with her friends. I don’t think it would be that fun if only the 3 of us went there lol.
