My Pre-Schooler Makes Me Proud

October 25, 2012 By: Erlaine4 Comments

Last week was the first assessment test for Nursery and Kinder in Kelsea’s school. Each kid will be paired with a classmate. The pair will take turns on a one-on-one test with the teacher for 30 minutes for three days. I very much appreciated their way of giving their students a test.

On a normal school day, hubby would drop our daughter to school while I’m the one in charge of fetching her. But for the three days of assessment test, I accompanied Kelsea to school and waited for her to finish the test. After her test, I let her play with her classmate N whose schedule is earlier than hers.

Kelsea and N “reading” a book

Kelsea will share her book with N and pretend telling a story. Then they would carry their small backpacks and pretend going to school. They look so cute conversing as if they’re adults. By the way, the kubo in the picture above is where mommies and yayas stay while waiting for their child or alaga.

Assessment test results were scheduled be given last Tuesday, October 23. Unfortunately, Kelsea was not able to go to school since she was sick with fever and cough until now. Since October 25, which is today, is the last day of classes before semestral break, I went to her school to get her books, give the invitations for her birthday celebration in school and get the test results.

Despite me being sad because my dear Kelsea is still sick, I had a huge smile when I saw this….

Kelsea’s 1st Assessment Test Result

Wow! 100%! A perfect score! I very much know that Kelsea’s smart but I did not expect nor force her to do very well in school. At the back of my mind, I wish she’ll always do good and get high grades but no pressure on her. I want her to have fun in school and just do her best and make us proud by being a good student and classmate. We’re so proud of you Kels! Keep it up! You deserve a reward 🙂 Get well soon, my cutiepie!
