Would You Like to Hear a Bread Talk or a Bread Story?

July 19, 2012 By: Erlaine5 Comments

SM Southmall recently got renovated and there were new shops and restaurants that opened. One of them is Bread Story located at the Lower Ground Floor. This is not new to Filipinos because Bread Talk (which I first saw in Singapore last 2005 and wished we have something like that here in our country) was the first one who brought a bakery concept like this in the Philippines (as far as I know).

According to Bread Story’s Facebook page, they have branches in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Dubai and Australia. First thing I couldn’t help but do upon entering their shop is to compare it with Bread Talk (available in Alabang Town Center).

Bread Story is very spacious and well-lighted. The breads here are properly covered (unlike in Bread Talk where flies can easily land on their breads) and they have lots of variety. Aside from smelling the aroma of freshly baked bread, you can also view their kitchen and see the bakers working. Cakes and pastries are also available at the counter in reasonable prices.

Although it is more of a take-out shop, they also encourage clients to dine in. They have a few chairs and tables outside the shop. Drinks such as coffee, water and juice are available to partner with your chosen bread.

I came there one Friday afternoon with Kelsea after school and with my nephew and my parents. These are what we ordered….

Choco Panda Php43.00 for Kelsea (the other eye is missing..already in her mouth LOL)

Spider Man (with cream cheese inside) Php 43.00 for Charles

Hi Amigo (Php46.00), Italian Flower (Php49.00) and So Basic (Php38.00) for me and my parents

Cappucino (Php70.00) for my dad

This coffee cup is big so price is still reasonable. It’s nice that their plates, cup and saucer have their name on it. I wasn’t able to take a picture of their bread knife but it’s unique and made of clear plastic.

Since I ordered 5 breads, I’m entitled to a free bread of my choice as long as it is Php40.00 and below. Here’s what I got…

Looks like coffee bun from Kopi Roti or Delifrance

We love all the that we ordered. I’ll definitely try other breads next time. Bread Story’s loyal customers can also get free breads by earning stickers.

Try their yummy breads now and don’t just talk…tell a story 🙂

Thanks Lalaine! We (my daughter, my nephew & my parents) love Bread Story 🙂 I already sent a comment in your FB page. I also saw last Friday that you have a new service regarding birthday cakes. Will blog about it soon 🙂
