Last Monday, I was officially a work-at-home-mom (WAHM). But I wasn’t at home. I went to the office of Multiply, the largest online selling community where my online shop has been since 2008.
Way back 2006 when I created my personal account in Multiply, it was the popular site for posting pictures and writing blogs to share with family and friends. But when Facebook (FB) arrived, most personal blog accounts (including mine) became inactive and transferred to FB. But the good thing is, there were a lot of online shops created and stayed, including mine. Now, Multiply has created a new marketplace and
added a shopping cart system wherein merchants are encouraged to create a product listing for a more convenient shopping experience to online shoppers. Merchants don’t need to disclose any more personal bank accounts. Buyers will send payment thru Multiply’s BPI, BDO or GCash account and Multiply will be the one to transfer to the merchant’s bank account. And what’s good about this is online shopper’s can now pay the most convenient way which is thru Paypal.
The reason why I went to there office was because I was invited to their Grand Launching on October 18, 2011 at White Space in Pasong Tamo Extension. They became interested with the Glamma Momma shirts to be featured in the Fashion Show. And that’s FREE! I said yes at once. This will be a good opportunity for my biz to be exposed since I’m having a hard time marketing my products lately due to work and mommy duties. The event is by invite only but interested ones can win tickets by staying tuned with Shop at Multiply in FB or in popular radio stations wherein questions will be asked about Multiply. You just have to answer to win the ticket invites. Merchant’s products will also be on display (just like in a bazaar which I have no extra money to pay for a rent now since we’re saving for Kelsea’s schooling next year) and guests will have the opportunity to shop at Multiply. Computer terminals will be installed strategically around the area. And here’s a good reason to get an invite… the first 50 to register in the event gets a Php1000 worth of Gcash for free and can be used for shopping. Wow! Who wouldn’t like that?
During the briefing, I met fellow Multiply merchants, a few Multiply staff and the organizers of the event. We were oriented with the overall plan and how our products will be presented. I’m so excited!!!! They just have to choose the products that they need for a particular segment. Mine will probably be included in the Weekend Getaway segment where mommy apparels will be worn by the models. I hope they also choose some from Shopping Spells too.
My next visit to their office will be for the model fitting. I wonder which Glamma Momma shirt they’ll choose. I hope more than one 🙂
